Coats for the Cold
As stated in the home page, there are many ways to repurpose items. One such way is to reuse! Harrison High School, along with numerous volunteers in the community, helps bring attention to the needy in the metro Detroit area. Called "Coats for the Cold", this organization runs a coat drive to collect new and gently used coats to redistribute to those without a coat. This event has been advertized through various means including schools, news articles, and on TV. More info can be found here.

One Warm Coat
"One Warm Coat" is another organization that is aimed at collecting coats for people around the United States. It also makes it easier for mini organizations or clubs to organiza and run a coat drive to help make the world a better place. This is an excellect way for YOU to get involved.
Salvation Army
Does the idea of holding a coat drive seem ambitious to you? That's ok. Just take the bus (to try and reduce carbon dioxide emissions) to your local Salvation Army Store to donate yout used coat. Just read this blog post for more information.
