service dogBackground on Theme: Pets. What is a pet? Why are pets important? Pets are usually defined as an animal that is domesticated and housetrained, but pets are so much more than that.

A pet can be an important part of your life. They can be so much more than a domesticated house animal. Pets can be your best friend. They can be someone to play with and be silly, or they can lend a listening ear to all your heartfelt dreams, fears, and secrets. Pets can be a precious family member, with their own personality, giving unconditional love and help when you need it.

I live in a townhouse. My neighbors have pets. Between all of them, there are seven dogs and three cats.

Lucky and Precious are two Pomeranians that are so cute and funny. They love to be petted. They are not very good security dogs though. They do not bark like most dogs if you approach. They only bark if you walk away without stopping to pet them.

Cici is a dog that belongs to another neighbor dog mine. She is a little bit skittish, but now comes to me and licks my fingertips.

The two cats, who are adorable stinkers always come to my door and mew. Sometimes they block the door by laying across the step in front of the door.

My uncle also has four dogs. Their names are: Lady, Champ, Sunny and Ally. They are all very friendly.

I had a pet fish. He was a male betta fish named Kyle. He died when I was in middle school. He was smart and sassy, but also cool. If I forgot to feed him, he would look at me, then look at the food bottle, and swim to the area where I usually fed him. He would repeat this process until I fed him.
