Because Even Heroes Need A Little Help!

Rylie
Virginia Williams said, “We have a responsibility to help those around us and help others in need.” This is a philosophy that many superheroes live by, but it’s important for everyone to follow, whether you have superhuman abilities or not.

Having power is incredible, but it can be a dangerous thing if used irresponsibly. Heroes and villains are often equally powerful; the only difference between them is what they choose to use their powers for. If you suddenly woke up with superpowers, would you be able to use them responsibly? If not, don’t worry. That’s what we’re here for. Thanks to the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT), we can share our superhero wisdom with you!

The MCWT web design competition is a contest held for middle and high school girls in Michigan. Each participant must create a website around a particular theme. This year’s theme for the competition is “Power: How I use my strengths for good.” There are 3 different categories: middle school, high school beginner, and high school advanced. This contest picks 36 finalists total that could possibly be announced again as an advanced finalist.

On the three main pages of our website, we will introduce you to three amazing super powers: mind reading, hypnosis, and invisibility, as well as three real life superheroes that use the powers everyday. This website is your guide to using these powers responsibly, so you can make the world a better place.
