Knowledge Is Power
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education” –Martin Luther King Jr. The power of knowledge is something that comes naturally, through learning and compatibility, and it increases in time.
The theme of this year’s contest is “Power: How I use my strengths for good!”. Some basic powers we utilize have to do with school, where we go almost everyday to practice and build off of ideas and concepts aquirred through life. Another asset to our learning is the power to create, meaning a work of art in any aspect. Similarly, common sense is something that can be applied to school and creativity, but not necessarily taught to students. These skills are what make us the superheros we want to be.
Since we are in the advanced category of MCWT's website competition this year, we have a few more requirements than last time. We created a video, social media site, and used CSS to contribute to the look of the website. Being inducted as a beginner was very handy and we found our way back to the advanced catergory.
Our website will share the idea of how well people score with intelligence and common sense. This is not a test of “who is the smartest?”, but of how well people apply their brains with natural knowledge to the tests we conduct.
