Teens doing their work on traditional pencil and paper

Work

Over the years there has been an exponential increase of digital technology use in workplaces and schools. Overall, paper usage has gone down and the use of digital technology has gone up. In every class, in some way or another, digital technology is used, whether that is through computers, phones, smart projectors, or tablets. In addition, workplaces use relatively the same devices for various purposes.

However, there are a multitude of ways that can be used as alternatives to digital technology for work related purposes. For example, traditional pencil and paper can always take the place of computers and digital notetaking. Another example is in replacement of presentation services, posters or a whiteboard can be used. In a classroom setting, an instructor can use a whiteboard as an alternative to the smart projector that they have become so reliant on.
