People used to have to handwrite letters and send them to communicate to each other if they were far away. The mail system was also not very adequate so letters took many days to be received and it was very hard to have a long conversation with just letters. Furthermore, they liked to talk face to face. Although letters may have been the superior form of communication at that time, public telephones had just come out. Through the 1940s, it got more popular over the world, however, my grandparents didn't use them that much.
Nowdays, communication is seen everywhere. People in my generation use phones and other technology to immediately connect and communicate with other people. You can call, text, video call, email, and go on the internet. As seen on the right, the computers and phones are very high-tech. The recent phones have improved things such as, the compatibility, storage, and the camera so it is all high-quality.
