Automobiles had just recently been invented and many people started to use them. But they were not as advanced as today's cars, especially in aerodynamics and safety. They didn't even have seat belts! Another mode of transportation that was very popular was trains. These trains were called streamliner trains and were the most efficient way of traveling at the time. In India, my grandparents used to use vehicles called bullock carts, shown to the left. These are two or four-wheeled vehicles pulled by oxen. They used to also take buses to travel longer distances, but the buses only came once a week to the village.
Now, high-tech cars are found all over the world. Cars have implanted more safety features in them and are used widely around the world. Now, there even are companies working to make a autonomous vehicle! Additionally, subways have become a common form of transportation in crowded cities like New York City and run mainly on electricity. You can even travel halfway around the world in about a day using airplanes. In 2018, there were about one billion passengers on domestic and international flights!
