Homelife

Some things my grandma talked about with her home life were that she lived with her grandmother after her grandfather passed away, so she has a lot of memories with her like how she had built her and her sister a play-house that she used a lot all year round. She loved to play outside even in the winter when it was 40 degrees below zero, as when they went in they would bundle up with layers, put scarves around their faces, and plenty of mittens. Winters like this were normal for her as she though frost-bitten fingers and noses were a normal part of it. This relates to my life now as Michigan winters do get pretty cold but not as cold as that usually, and I had outdoor things like that but they were usually just bought and not made for me like how her grandmother would make them things like that. She also talked about visiting family a lot like her grandmother's brother's family. Their grandchildren would oftern visit and they would drive out to the western part of North Dakota to see other family and spend the night in very crowded rooms with all of them. Every summer they would vacation to some place and rent cabins along the way with relatives to see interesting "sights". This relates to my life as I am quite close with some of my extended family as me and my sister, Emily, visit our cousins that live as close as 20 minutes and our other cousins that live 3 hours away.
