2020s
In 2020, most children in developed countries have access to good education. Kids go to school every day, even virtually! Most children either take a bus or a car to school, though some walk and bike. These days, most school districts provide iPads or laptops to their students for educational purposes.
1950s
In the 1950s, only some children had high-quality education. Most children walked to school, and the few who owned bicycles biked to school. If there was an emergency like the COVID-19 pandemic that required people to stay at home in the 1950s, school wouldn't have continued due to insufficient technology. Many schools were one-room schoolhouses. In the United States of America, most schools would have been segregated by race.
