Homemade Macaroni
This delicious summer food is homemade macaroni. Macaroni and cheese is so popular in the summer time. It contains one pound of cheese and of course, macaroni noodles.There are some ingredients that you wouldn’t expect to be in there. Such as, onions and flour. Growing up my mom used to always make macaroni, and she still does. It has always been a favorite of our family. For graduation parties, birthday parties, family barbeques it’s always been there. The ingredients for homemade macaroni and cheese are: 1 box of elbow macaroni noodles, 1 stick of butter, 3 tablespoons of flour, 3 cups of milk, 1 pound of Hoffman’s Super Sharp Cheddar-Cubed, and ½ onion diced. These are the directions on how to prepare and make this meal: spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On medium heat, in large deep saute pan, add butter to melt and diced onions. Saute onions lightly. Whisk in flour slowly! Continue to stir, add the milk a cup at a time and continuously stir until you have a gentle boil. Slowly add the cheddar cheese and continue to stir until completely melted. Cook the elbow noodles according to package al dente style. Mix noodles and cheese sauce in large mixing bowl. Pour mixture into the 9x13 pan. Bake for approximately a half hour. |
