One day, I dream of working within the medical field. Helping others is a passion of mine and I feel that being able to help others is a gift I would love to share. Creating this website and assisting the homeless helped me expand my horizons when it comes to giving back to the community- which is hopefully what my future will consist of. Technology, being the future of medicine, ties into my future due to the fact that without all of the resources that technlogy allows us to have, it would make helping people in need much more difficult. Technology will tie into my future by being one of the most powerful influences on making sure that people are trained properly so that they can help those who are in need of care.

Jillian

My dream job is to be an investment banker. An investment banker helps banks obtain new funds. They also study the market, and give investing advice to banks and companies around the globe. This profession ties in the use of technology in many ways because they use programs such as Excel, Zoho Books, AcountMate, CYMA, Intaact, etc. Without technology we would have had such a difficult time getting our fundraiser to be successful.

I am currently Junior Class President for the 2017-2018 school year. It is such an honor representing my class. It has afforded me so many opportunities to become involved in my school district and to meet and work with many other students and staff that I had not encountered in the past. It was amazing to witness first hand the benefit that team-work can provide when you are willing to open your mind to other's suggestions and opinions. Our fundraising endeavor is an excellent example of team-work at its best!

What We Learned

Together we learned that unfortunately, there are many people in our community that are among the less fortunate. We were able to use our powers of organization, empathy, giving back, and unification to help the ones who feel powerless. By coming together and trying to make a difference in their lives, we hope that others feel the same inspiration from the homeless as we do. We hope that more and more people in the community decide to give back because although we cannot change the world, we were able to make a significant impact on the less fortunate in our community.

Conclusion

This web design class has helped us tremendously by understanding basic coding techniques and different photoshop lessons. With these new computer skills, we have so much more confidence behind a keyboard than we did prior to taking this course. Everything we have learned we will be able to use throughout the rest of our lives because technology is everywhere now. We also learned what it is like to have two minds working together to come up with something brilliant. Without the support and help of our amazing teacher, we would not have been able to come as far as we did with our web designing skills.
