All About Me


My name is Christina Heather Wright, but I like to be called Heather. I am a Senior at Lake Shore High School, and I take my schoolwork and grades very seriously. I am a member of the National Honor Society. My favorite classes are art, psychology, and history. Other then school, my family and friends are very important to me.

When I was little, I loved to draw and sketch. One day I watched a movie made by Ghibli Studios. It really inspired me. I thought to myself, “Someday I want to work for them.” It was then that I knew I wanted to be an animator. Technology is important to me because it is a big part of life and it will help me achieve my dream of becoming an animator.

Career and Technology Foundations In this class students develop skills to help them become more employable. The class focuses on problem solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and computer literacy skills. Students also learn study skills and test taking strategies, as well as, begin to begin to build a resume and portfolio of their high school accomplishments.

Introduction to Web Design In this class students will learn how to build a website using code and Photoshop. Students will learn about hyperlinks, margins, and the basics of coding. Also, students will learn how to use paintbrush, layer effect, quick edit, and many more options in Photoshop.

Advanced Web Design In this class you learn another type of coding called CSS. It is more difficult thena HTML but is more profesional looking. You also learn in this class animation.

Conclusion


I thought web design was fun and challenging. I think my strengths on what I have done is coding and my content. Though, I think my problems, and definitely my frustrations, were with the Photoshop software and the long time it took to do and make everything. What I liked most about the class was learning the CSS software and able to easily ask for help. What I liked least about the class was its fast pace. The career pathway I would like to take is to be an animator and work for Miyazaki in Studio Ghibli.
