My name is Amanda Brisco and I am a ninth grader at Lake Shore High School. Giving 110% in school has always been the number one priority in my life right now.
I really feel that is one of the things that I must do because I am only one from my past that is taking a Web Design class. Many that I show the work we do are surprised that
I am doing so well with working with a partner that is not in the same grade as I am and that really pushed me to work with new people and challenge me to do more. In the past I
have really been leaning more so toward photography or a job that goes with helping others. I say that because I really enjoy people and simply making others day just a little better
than it started. Personally my inspirations are my mother and my older sister. My mom is an inspiration because she encouraged me to go to higher levels in school and do a couple classes
that challenge me more than letting me do classes and sports that came easy to me. My sister being the one who shared a camera with me for four years until last year when I received my own.
I feel that photography and nursing have a lot to do with our powers and with our theme this year because it has a lot to do with helping others. It has to do with technology because, In many
jobs cameras and memorization.
My name is Ciarra Tolbert and I am currently in the 11th grade at Lake Shore High School. School has always been important to me because I strive to get good grades to be successful and to have
something to be proud of, as cheesy as that sounds. This year is especially important because this is the year I am able to take the S.A.T. and apply to colleges to figure out my future.
Recently I have been thinking a lot about what type of career I want to go into since it is about that time that I have at least some idea what I want to do. The career path that I want to go
into is being a videographer or a photographer. I’ve always been interested with anything that has to do with fancy cameras and the creations you can come up with are amazing! For about a couple
of years now, my friends and I would always make silly videos together because I’ve always wanted to learn how to edit videos and because we just wanted random memories. Youtubers have inspired
me a lot since their entire job is based on making/editing videos. Clearly this job has a lot to do with technology from using cameras, computer programs to edit them, etc! Later on this year I’m
even taking a class called Intro to Media Productions because I want to experience on actual computers and real cameras than by my cell phone. To conclude, I hope this could be an successful career
for me!
Conclusion This has been a very eventful journey being able to learn how to create a website and understanding the amount of effort that actually goes into making a them. Throughout this process, we have learned how to code, use photoshop, and work together as classmates to complete our goal! That goal is to create the best websites possible for the MCWT Web Design competition! We’ve have had many ups such as choosing our color scheme for our website but we’ve also had some downs such as creating the navigation buttons and trying to create rollover effects but in the end, we turned everything around and finally got them to work and actually look how we wanted them! I, Ciarra, completely thought that this class was just creating websites the entire trimester but it turned out that we would be working with a partner and creating a website for a competition against other schools trying to reach the same goal and possibly place and win money! We realized that coding is an interesting process because if you mess up one small thing, your entire website could be messed up which has happened to us a LOT! But with the teamwork of our awesome peers and our amazing teacher, we could problem solve in no time. We also learned that photoshop could add simple elements to your pictures that make them look so much better! Our most friendly tool is the quick select tool because it helps you add effects or filters to where you want. I, Ciarra, am glad that I am able to be apart of this group throughout these months and get to bond and share successful or unsuccessful times throughout the course of making a website!
