To display the act of common sense, we will have the same four students again, try to solve two simple riddles. Although not timed, the first riddle took each student about 7 minutes and 2 minutes for the second one. The vitality of our social environment is threaded on common sense.We used this power to show how knowing or doing something small can provide a world of simplicity to themselves and the people around them. Although our experiment was just two riddles, there is a bigger meaning of the test we conduct.

Our first riddle was “What gets bigger the more you take away?”, which may seem incredibly difficult if you overthink, but the answer is “a hole”. Not one of our testers got this correct, which is a result we had predicted, mostly because the whole idea of a riddle is for it to be confusing, but this riddle was very simple. The answers we recieved were as follows: “Space”, “I don’t know lol”, “bigger”, and “time”. We felt that “space” and “time” were very good answers, but not correct. One of our conducters told us that he thought the answer had lied into the question, which was a good inferal, but still not quite correct.

Our second riddle was “Mary’s mother had four children; April, May, and June were the first three. What’s the name of the fourth child?”, this riddle was very simple and just a play on words. All of our students had gotten this riddle correct, showing their interpreting skills and how well you read between the lines.
