Elpis

Elpis was the personification of hope, she was represented as a young lady bearing flowers or a cornucopia. The cornucopia was Amalthea's horn that Zeus broke one day and then blessed so that the owner could find anything they desired in it. Not much is said about Elpis though, as she did not play a big role in Greek Mythology.

Image: HopeHope is a pretty broad word, it could mean so many different things that's the beauty of it. You can mold the idea of hope depending on what fits you and make it into something wonderful. To show how hope can be such a powerful thing we asked friends, family, and teachers what gives them hope. Most people put their Family, friends, and their pets. It's not surprising they put family, family is always there for you no matter what. It's a forever bond you will have with a group of people, even if you get into an argument with them. For friends it's the same thing, always having someone to have your back and talk to you when you really need it.
