Hello, I'm Ream AlTurky. I'm 17 years old and in my final year of high school. I'm currently in a web design and programming class taught by Mrs. Giacona. This year was the first time I got introduced to web programming, and it sparked an interest within me. I've always been interested in graphic design, but never thought about combining it with web programming. I always saw web programming as something so complex that I could never understand, but my web programming class and this competition showed me otherwise! As a senior, I've had to start planning out my future and I found myself seeing web development as something I would like to do in the future. I've had such a fun time designing and planning out my website and learning new things like bootstrap and javascript. I plan to continue to expand my understanding of web programming, and hopefully, turn it into a job.

My teacher Mrs. Giacona has been teaching me about the basics of HTML and CSS for the past two quarters. She is the one who suggested this competition to me. |
|
I used adobe dream weaver as my text editor
I used this youtube tutorial to format my banner and footer. This tutorial introduced me to bootstrap, which led me to gain a good grasp on what bootstrap does. I changed the color, image, and logo of the orginal tutorial to make it into my own. I only kept the navigation and wave divider
I used bootstrap throughout my web page, including the navigation and helped me align my website.
I edited my pictures in photoshop
I designed my pictures, such as the logos on each page, in adobe illustrator
I used W3 schools to help me with the layout of my website
Every single picture I used is credited to: THE LEGEND OF KORRA (2012), directed by IAN GRAHAM and COLIN HECK. Credit: Nickelodeon Animation Studios/Album |
